The Project(s) – powerful play about public housing

The Projects at the American Theater Company

Seeing The Projects, a 2015 production of the American Theater Company, about living in and growing up in public housing, provided a searing glimpse into what life was like. It was meaty and stays with me to this day.

The theater’s Youth Ensemble is performing an abridged version on Friday (8 p.m.), Saturday (8 p.m.), and Sunday (2 p.m.), July 14, 15, 16 and July 21, 22, and 23 and asking for donations.

I’m organizing an outing for whoever wants to see it with me on Saturday, July 15th or 22nd, or Sunday, July 23rd. The Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 and the Sunday show is at 2.

There isn’t a lot of time for planning so please contact me if this interests you. It is powerful. Terry@newcommunityvision.coop or 312.375.1423.
