The Center of Concern is a social service agency serving individuals in the northwest Chicagoland area. It’s home sharing program matches homeowners having extra space in their homes with individuals who need affordable housing. Homeowners or condo/ apartment dwellers willing to share their homes do so in exchange for affordable rent and/or services. The Center’s Home Sharing program has received a Best Practice award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for its innovative approach to providing affordable housing.
