Free movie night at London Towne Houses – Food, Inc.
Mar 29th, 2010 by terry
Free screening of the eye-opening documentary Food, Inc. at London Towne Houses, an 800-unit housing cooperative on Chicago’s south east side. See how fast food and factory farms have transformed the food industry and, with it, the farm economy and our health. Meet and greet before the movie and stay for the panel discussion afterward.
London Towne Houses has a large plot of vacant land being considered for a community garden. Gardening has been described as the new golf and urban gardens are sprouting up all over the country. Community gardens foster community participation as they nourish their participants.
